Wolf + Water work with both children and adults with learning difficulties, including those with multiple and profound disabilities and across the autistic spectrum. We work creatively to produce theatre productions and film pieces, as well as running sessions with participants using drama and arts to develop social and communication skills. We celebrate individual talent, creativity and dignity.

Sometimes we work with groups on their own but we are known for our integrated work. We bring people with learning difficulties together with schools and other community organisations. We build ongoing collaborations between organisations, enabling groups to meet new people, learn and discover new skills from each other and work together creatively.

Our work ranges from one off workshops to on-going projects. We explore a range of issues and topics, such as communication skills and healthy relationships to physical and mental well being. Often the resulting work is performance based, and can be used to raise awareness and build understanding of creative approaches with people experiencing challeneges.

Hansel & Gretel – Many Directions Theatre Co – North Devon – 2014

Using the structure of fairy tales, we examined the rise of the Nazi party’s build up to the Holocaust through it’s treatment of people with disabilities as part of the T4 program – also bringing into focus our members very honest & raw everyday experiences of bullying & discrimination. Comfortable it was not. Brickbats & bouquets. We expected nothing less.

“Amazing &  profound…this was an important piece of work”
