The Rime of the Ancient Mariner, On Bicycles (DVD)
(50mins) Taking to their bicycles 4 intrepid Artists travelled from Nether
Stowey in Somerset to Bristol, following the route that Coleridge walked to make his famous speech against slavery. Along the way the team worked with
a wide variety of groups including a primary school, a school for people with learning difficulties, several community groups, 2 homes for elderly people and a pub. Each group spent a day telling their own version of “The Rime of the Ancient Mariner” through drama, reminiscence, writing & animation. The resulting film knits all this together in 50 succinct minutes.
