Exeter Forum Theatre
Exeter Forum Theatre (EFT) is a W+W project which provides arts opportunities for homeless, ex-homeless and vulnerably housed people. We also train people
who have experienced homelessness in acting and faciliation skills and then design and deliver innovative training days for a range of settings including conferences, alcohol and drug workers, mental health services and housing staff.
Over the last 5 years EFT has embarked on many performance and education projects including regular drama workshops, youth homelessness prevention work, comedy shows, pantomines with clients and agency staff as the cast and the creation of a dvd for use in schools.
Maggie’s bad day - drug worker training: a Forum Theatre performance which enabled project workers to explore how to work with drug users and related issues in the work place.
Drinking Companion follows one of life’s losers, Fashion Salesman Harry Compton and his desperate attempt to plaster attractive sales girls Paula and Bernice with drink in order to get them up to his hotel room. Will he succeed? He is sure his wife wouldn’t
The Jungle Book followed a displaced Mowgli as he grows up in the Jungle trying to find ways to survive and belong before he departs for the urban jungle to continue his search.
