Youth Homelessness Prevention Show

The EFT Youth Homelessness Prevention Schools Tour was a partnership project with the Meaningful Occupation Project (MOP). We toured an original devised production and workshop around 9 venues, reaching more than 500 young people, with a cast of homeless, ex-homeless and vulnerably housed actors.

Exeter Forum Theatre

Exeter Forum Theatre (EFT) is a W+W project which provides arts opportunities for homeless, ex-homeless and vulnerably housed people. We also train people
who have experienced homelessness in acting and faciliation skills and then design and deliver innovative training days for a range of settings including conferences, alcohol and drug workers, mental health services and housing staff.

Street Music

This spring we will be running the fourth of our Street Music courses in Exeter.
The course is a 12 week structured programme of creative, technical and cultural hip-hop music education for young people aged 14 – 25 who are out of, or at risk of being excluded from formal education, training or employment.

The course covers:
• Music theory and composition.
• History of music and music culture.
• Song writing techniques and lyrical content.
• Music technology and uses of computer software
• Digital Illustration and Graphic design
• Djing

Girl Power? Performance at Exeter Phoenix

Our two year women’s arts project culminated with two breathtaking and awe-inspiring performances in the main auditorium at the Exeter Phoenix.

The show an original devised story was created by women drawn together from across Exeter and working together over a three month period. It focuses around the discovery of an old case by a member of staff at a care home. The staff can’t resist the temptation to look inside. What they find is a story, a story told in pictures of the sometimes ordinary, sometimes extraordinary life of Connie.

Semat forum theatre training - Jakarka & Bogor, Indonesia - January 2006

Semat is a youth theatre company based in Jakarta who, supported by search for common ground, came together to work on issues of communal and inter-communal conflict. We were asked to provide training in developing and devising theatre intervention work to empower semat to work within their own communities in developing peace building activities.

“Catastrophe without a break” - Bujanovac south Serbia – April-July 2006

This 3 month residency brought together young people from 3 ethnic groups living in and around bujanovac (albanian, roma & serbian) in order to provide regular creative sessions and to eventually present to a mixed audience a quality piece of theatre addressing issues of ethnic divides. The process was made difficult by conflicting school schedules (along ethnic lines) local municipal elections (which was fought along ethic lines) and a general lack of activity for and attention to young people which do not follow traditional ethnic partitions.

"Home Ground" – a video & experiential program about healthy relationships

When Wolf + Water were commissioned by the Devon Domestic Violence Joint Services Taskforce to create a video & education pack on domestic violence & healthy relationships for 8 – 10 year olds, we knew exactly who we wanted to work with. Back in 2002 we ran the “Romeo & Juliet Project” looking at issues of inter personal conflict with young people from Bradley Rowe School on the Burnt House Lane estate in Exeter…& we wanted to go back & do some more…!
