Pre-release Drugs Project
(HMP Channings Wood, Devon, 1999)
A drama based residency with inmates on the prisons therapeutic community that explored the issues & pressures that would be facing participants in steering clear of illegal drugs on their release. The project looked at the personal pressure that inmates would face from family, peers & their ability to face problems & deal with difficult feelings.

“The work was challenging, yet sensitive. The atmosphere of supportive exploration that Wolf + Water created in a short time enabled inmates to make real advances towards understanding their own behaviour” Staff Member

“For me personally it was probably the most rewarding thing I’ve been involved in. I would like to thank you, not just from me but also from the people who will come into contact with me in the future.” Inmate

“I think the way the workshop was run brough out a caring atmosphere…we were all able to open up to the group & confront our fears head on. At times it was emotional, but never forced, & we all learnt something from each other” Inmate
