An Introduction to Conflict Psychology

Why do people get into conflicts & more importantly how can conflicts be resolved non - violently? This course uses theatre & mask work to demonstrate & explore what happens to our psychological functioning in stressful or conflict situations & how this informs our behaviour & therefore the subsequent development of the situation. This training particularly explores group behaviours & issues around group identities, be those be gangs or countries. The course finishes by working with participants in exploring their own particular roles in conflict & how those might be challenged for a better outcome.
